Making a payment right after filing 2020 tax return

 
How would you like to pay?
    1. Visit CRA’s my payment page and click Individual income tax (T1) under the heading Individuals.
    2. On the next page, click 2020 – Tax return (choose Amount owing for other years).
    3. Then enter the following details:
      • Social Insurance Number: (your 9-digit Social  Insurance Number)
      • Amount: (this would be the amount you want to pay)
      • Click Next.
    4. Verify all details on the next page and then click Confirm and Proceed to Pay
    5. Verify the amount to be paid on the next page and then click Pay Now.
    6. On the next page, choose one of the following:
      1. if your bank card has a VISA debit logo, then choose option one and enter your card information and click Process.
      2. otherwise, select the second option that says “Interac Online” and then click Proceed to Online Banking.
        • On the next page, choose the financial institution you bank with.
        • Use your bank card number and password to log in and then authorize the transaction.
    7. Once the transaction goes through, it will take you back to CRA’s website and give you a confirmation number.
    8. Please save or print this number for your records.

      • Under “Pay Bills“, click on Manage Payees
      • Add “CRA Personal Income Tax – 2020 Tax Return Remittance Voucher” as a payee.
      • Use your SIN as the account number.
      • After the payee has been added, make a payment.
      • Visit RBC Online Banking or log into your bank account via mobile app.
      • Under “Pay Bills“, click on Manage Payees
      • Add “CRA Personal Income Tax – 2020 Tax Return Remittance Voucher” as a payee.
      • Use your SIN as the account number.
      • After the payee has been added, make a payment.
      • Visit CIBC Online Banking or log into your bank account via mobile app.
      • Under “Pay Bills“, click on Manage Payees
      • Add “CRA Personal Income Tax – 2020 Tax Return Remittance Voucher” as a payee.
      • Use your SIN as the account number.
      • After the payee has been added, make a payment.
      • Visit BMO Online Banking or log into your bank account via mobile app.
      • Under “Pay Bills“, click on Manage Payees
      • Add “CRA Personal Income Tax – 2020 Tax Return Remittance Voucher” as a payee.
      • Use your SIN as the account number.
      • After the payee has been added, make a payment.
      • Visit Scotia Online Banking or log into your bank account via mobile app.
      • Under “Pay Bills“, click on Manage Payees
      • Add “CRA Personal Income Tax – 2020 Tax Return Remittance Voucher” as a payee.
      • Use your SIN as the account number.
      • After the payee has been added, make a payment.
  • by credit card using third-party service providers
  • using the CRA’s pre-authorized debit service offered through My Account, which lets you:
    • set up a payment from your bank account to the CRA on a pre-set date
    • pay an overdue amount or make instalment payments
  • in person at your financial institution, using the T1 Remittance Voucher
  • by Interac e-transfer1% service fees charges.
  • by mail, with a cheque payable to Receiver General for Canada. Mail it with the attached T1 Remittance Voucher to the following address:
    • Canada Revenue Agency, PO Box 3800 STN A, Sudbury ON P3A 0C3
  • in person at any Canada Post outlet using cash or debit card.
